ABOUT MY FAMILY

Aloke Roy, my father is my guide in all ways. It is with him that I argue on all aspects but I do endorse all that he says.

Born to Asimananda Roy and Niharika Roy on 14th May in Calcutta, my father was in Calcutta all along from where he schooled, graduated and started his job career at the Indian Ordnance Factories under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. After serving for 36 years, he retired from his job as Deputy Director at the Ordnance Factories Headquarters in Calcutta where he started with his job though he spent major period of his service career away from Calcutta at Ordnance Factory,Ambarnath.

My father has some intrinsic talents in him.He started writing poetry when he was only ten years of age. He writes poems which I guess very few can. Not just poems, he has a melodious voice and it is by virtue of him that I developed my love for Tagore songs.

Archana Roy, my mother is my inspiration of my life. It is with her with whom I exchange all that I think. It is with her with whom I share all my dreams. It is her to whom I shower all my tensions. It is her who energizes me to live my life.

Born to Ratnendra Narayan Sinha and Anandamoyee Sinha on 25th November at district of Murshidabad in West Bengal, my mother was brought up, schooled, graduated and stayed at Murshidabad till she got married on 10th May 1966.

If one believes in genetic engineering, then it is because of her that today I am into computer technology. After the age of fifty she first smelt the essence of computers and today she understands and is conceptually more sound on computers than most.

I tasted too many dishes from too many people. I moved across the globe and tasted too many continental dishes, but I would say that no dish can ever please my tongue more than her dishes !

Anusua Roy, my wife is my real friend, a friendship that is most desired in a marital relationship.It took long for me to choose my wife and I am glad that I took that long as I married someone whom I looked for !

Born to Swapan Kumar Biswas and Baijayanti Biswas on 15th December in Calcutta, she never moved out of Calcutta till she got married on 28th April 2002 after which she not only moved out of the city but moved out of the country as well !

Anurupa Roy , my daughter 'Trika' (nicknamed by my father) is my heart throb. She means life to me. She means love to me. She means a lot more than a daughter. She is my dream that came true.

Born to Arup Roy and Anusua Roy on 9th April 2003 at Stamford, United States of America, Anurupa is meant to be similar to Anu sua and Arup and hence her name Anurupa.

I always dreamt to have a daughter. This is one of the very few fulfilled dream of mine. I thus now dream to make all my unfulfilled dreams to come true through her. She holds all my dreams !

I pray to Him that she comes up very successful in her life making me proud that I am her father. When I breath last, I should have no repentance for any of my unfulfilled dreams as Trika should have fulfilled all by then !!

Avirup Roy , my son is my heart throb. He means life to me. He means love to me. He means a lot more than a son. He is my dream that came true.

Born to Arup Roy and Anusua Roy on 24th May 2010 at Louisville, United States of America, Avirup is meant to be similar to Anu sua and Arup and hence her name Anurupa.

I always dreamt to have a daughter. This is one of the very few fulfilled dream of mine. I thus now dream to make all my unfulfilled dreams to come true through her. He holds all my dreams !

I pray to Him that he comes up very successful in his life making me proud that I am his father. When I breath last, I should have no repentance for any of my unfulfilled dreams as he should have fulfilled all by then !!
